A newbie on Illustrator and there is still lots to learn...like how the gradient in Illustrator is different from Photoshop, and you don't have to work with a ton of layers in Illustrator.

Time to conquer the Pen Tool!

After years of my "design" inactivity, I finally decided to fiddle around with PS and got this. Took me days to get this look (the killer is the K letter and the vector. The mag scan took out the upper part of K and also had to erase the white background of the swirl vector to use it). I'm still not digging the brown swirl beneath the border layer though...hmmm maybe I should change it...

Well, not mine anyway. It's nice to look at the new hardware, swoon over how fast it operates and the BIG-ASS hdd space that this computer has. I'm not a geek (far from it), but hey, no one can resist a new computer, especially if she uses a 3 year-old laptop (ok so 3 years is not THAT old).
